ImageJ Workshop

Imaging your samples at the optimal conditions at a microscope is the first step towards reliable and reproducible scientific data. Correctly processing and analyzing the images is the second.
Our ImageJ workshop will introduce you to the basic principles of digital images, their processing and analysis. We’ll use the open source free to use ImageJ package FIJI. The course will teach you how to use FIJI how to correctly improve the appearance of images and bring out fine details. You will learn how to carry out quantitative measurements and how to automate repetitive tasks, an important step towards reproducible results. Participants will acquire basic programming techniques for analyzing image data. In addition important ethical questions regarding the publication of your images will be addressed.
