New publication by EMC

Our manuscript, “Cytological evidence for automictic thelytoky in parthenogenetic oribatid mites (Acari, Oribatida): Synaptonemal complexes confirm meiosis in Archegozetes longisetosus ”, has now been definitely accepted for publication in Acarologia.
In this study ultrastructural insight in oocyte progression and meiotic processes via TEM was gained. Automixis (meiotic thelytoky) was unequivocally confirmed via numerous synaptonemal complexes in the ovary. This spatial arrangement of chromatid…

New user publication

The manuscript "A map of sensilla and neurons in the taste system of drosophila larvae" of our users Anna Rist and Andreas Thum was published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology;
DOI: 10.1002/cne.24308. Via volume electron microscopy / 3D image analysis and determination of the repertoire of receptore genes by analyzing different GAL4 [Name kursiv] driver lines they constructed a map of the terminal organ, in which the receptor genes are mapped to neurons of individual sensilla, suggesting…
