27.07.2017 - Best Paper Award for Julia Körner

Today our group member Julia Körner, PhD student since 2014, was awarded the Best Paper Award for the first half of 2017 by the Department of Biology. Her recently published first-author study "Inhibition and deficiency of the immunoproteasome subunit LMP7 suppress the development and progression of colorectal carcinoma in mice" (Oncotarget, 2017 Feb 7) was chosen as one of the three best peer-review publications by members of the Department of Biology.  In her PhD-project study Julia was able to identify the immunoproteasome as a novel drug target for the treatment of inflammation-driven colon cancers in three different pre-clinical models and both in preventive and in therapeutic settings. Our group gladly congratulates Julia and all co-workers.
