Zeiss CellDiscoverer 7

The Zeiss CellDiscoverer is a largely automated boxed widefield fluorescence microscope. The microscope housing contains a full incubator to enable time lapse experiments of live samples spanning several hours or even days. The CellDiscoverer can flexibly work with different samples like microscopy slide, 35 mm dishes or samples in the 96 well plate-format. The microscope automatically determines bottom thickness and refractive index of the samples and adjusts to provide optimal imaging conditions. The combination of objectives  with an optovar can provide a wide range of magnifications from 2.5x to 100x. The Definite Focus hardware autofocus allows to maintain the correct focus position during media change events and long time series.
