... about 2024 Nature Positive Photo Contest
As a founding member of Nature Positive Universities, we made a pledge to promote nature on campus and within our local and scientific community, and to reduce our negative effects on nature through the university's supply chains. Following several direct supportive measures in the previous year, in 2024, we invite you to join by simply taking photos on University of Konstanz campus!
The University of Konstanz with its mostly protected, immediate surroundings offer habitat to many plants, micro-organisms and animals. Even within and on our buildings, many organisms have found a home. With your keen observation and participation, your excellent photos will highlight the beauty of biodiversity on campus and raise the awareness of our Nature Positive pledge.
- Contest is open to anyone, any age, any camera.
- Finalist photos will be exhibited at Bodensee-Naturmuseum and in the University of Konstanz library
- All finalists receive their individual prints after the exhibitions
- Two prizes per category: Jury Prize and Public's Favorite at the exhibition in the Bodensee-Naturmuseum
- Submission ends on 15 July 2024, 13.00 CET
- Photos must be taken on University of Konstanz campus
Timeline:
- Entries open: 15 March 2024, 13.00 CET
- Entries close: 15 July 2024, 13.00 CET
- Finalists announcement: 01 September 2024
- Exhibition in Konstanz city: October 2024
- Exhibition at University of Konstanz: November 2024
Jury:
Our jury consists of 10-15 members, including:
- Professional and experienced nature photographers
- Biodiversity researchers
- Student representatives of the Green Office
- Student council of Biology Department
